hope you can help
my partners ex wifes new husband is wanting parental responsibility for my partners and ex wifes children.
at court last month the magistrate turned down their application saying their reasons for applying were not good enough. they have applied again with basically the same reasons but added on that his reasons for applying this time are that he feels it would provide the children with more security for the future if he is legally able to make decisions about their health and education and to be able to act in an emergency.
bit of background-
my partner sees the kids every week when their mother allows.
he pays maintenance via an informal agreement.
we only live about 15 mins away from the childrens home
we have not had the children on xmas day or boxing day for past three years. not even just to give them their presents
not been allowed to see kids on actual birthdays
his ex wifes new husband works at same company as my partner in a higher position
he has lived with the kids for only 2 years and him and their mother have only been married a year.
they have took my partner to court as he wouldn't do what they wanted and have subjected him to harassing texts and letters trying to pressurise him into doing what they want.
in the papers from the court it said his wife and her husband had to file their position statements upon my partner by 4pm on a particular date but we only received them today post marked with yesterdays date 4 days after the court ordered them to ensure he received them by
myself and my partner are obviously concerened. do you think he will be granted PR this time? also my partner has only got about a week to get his response filled out and sent as we received their statements later than we should have
