  • Care in Crisis Lobby a Lord

Today, Age UK is launching the next phase of our Care in Crisis campaign with the aim to finally put an end to the crisis that is affecting so many older people who rely on social care.

We are at a crucial moment. The Care Bill is currently working its way through the House of Lords. This ground-breaking piece of legislation would not have happened if it wasn't for people like you standing up and calling on the Government to take action.

But we must go further. There are still over800,000 older people who are unable to get the care that they need. This includes Leslie and Frances, who because they worked hard and saved hard, have been told by their council that they are not able to receive essential care services.

Watch a short film about Leslie and Frances, and take action to help people like them.

We are asking people to think about who would care for their Mum, Dad, grandparent, relative or friend. What would happen if you were told they were not eligible for the care they need?

Members of the House of Lords are currently considering the Care Bill. We need to show them that care is in crisis and ask them to strengthen the Bill further.

The link below will allow you to Lobby a Lord and help in this vital campaign
    Thanks Enaid x

"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )
