    Just to add... there isn't a crime, no matter how abhorrent, where the judicial system has the legal power to treat individuals in such fashion, financially. Even organised criminals have to be dragged through Proceeds of Crime hearings to recover their ill gotten gains, but straight down the line ordinary blokes from broken relationships seem to give up many of their human rights once that relationship breaks down, if they are a father.

      It's not just Fathers,,some Mothers are the same.
      And No,,Ex doesn't get a sou,,Will is very tightly sealed up..the grandkids get the lot,,already sought legal advice,and as long as they were of sound body and mind the Will stands.

        I still don't agree. He has a legal right to a share of 1/3 of the moveable estate, no matter what the Will states. This most certainly the case in Scotland. May be different elsewhere in the UK mind you.

          He can try contesting the Will,,but don't fancy his chances tbh,,if they had bequeathed out of the family maybe,,but their reasons are clearly stated as to why they did it.Be no point in leaving a Will if the final wishes aren't adhered to would there?

            Scottish succession laws are entirely different than those in the rest of the UK.
