For the Bill to become law we urgently need your help. Please contact your MP urgently and ask them to vote for better rights for carers and disabled people on the 7th of September. We need over one hundred MPs to be in Parliament and vote for the Bill.
Contact your MP and ask
Is he/she supporting the Bill?
Is he/she attending the Bill's Second Reading debate on the 7th of September?
Will he/she vote for better rights for carers and disabled people on the 7th of September?
Email your MP - We've drafted an email which you can use to send to your MP - just add their name, any personal experience you want to share and make sure your name and full address are included in your email. The draft email is attached. You can find more information about the Bill including the draft email at http://www.carersuk.org/get-involved
Call your MP - The Houses of Parliament switchboard is 0207 219 3000. Just ask to be put through to your MP
Tweet your MP - You can find out if your MP is on twitter at http://tweetminster.co.uk/mps
Or do all three.
If you're not sure who your MP is, you can check here http://findyourmp.parliament.uk/ You also can check your MP's email address on the Parliament site at http://www.parliament.uk/mps-lords-and-offices/mps/
Do you have a story to tell?
If you would be willing to talk to the media about your experience of difficulties accessing help or advice about caring, trying to find the right social care services that allow you to juggle work and care or a lack of support from your school or college, then do get in touch with us at chloe.wright@carersuk.org
Many thanks
