    Hi All,
    Can I make a complaint about an opposition solicitor midcase aa I believe he has breached the SRA code of conduct ?

    Yes.

    Whether it will get you anywhere is another thing. Are you sure that you are not allowing your energies to be diverted? Don't lose your focus on the main points of your case.

      I did exactly that. I made a complaint to the SRA about the opposition lawyer midcase. The SRA did not care. They were extremely dismissive.

      I should note that in my experience it is pretty standard for solicitors to violate the SRA code of conduct, even if they work for you. It is pretty devastating to realize that the SRA and the courts tolerate this.

      So, if you make a complaint I would not expect much. But if you don't make a complaint, nothing will ever change. Also, making a complaint is useful as you have a written record that you can refer back to. It can also be therapeutic to write things down.
