  • Can I take a parent to court for suffering psychiatric harm?

My mother has been extremely abusive and manipulative, I have suffered physical harm as a result of her son (my brother) striking me leaving me with a fractured nose for ‘missing her birthday’, she said this at the time
of the assault, can I take my mother to court for psychiatric damage as well as anything else? I’ve had PTSD since the incident, this was six years ago. Is there anything I can claim for in any area of law?
