What are my legal rights as the only biological child?

My Father is 91 and now doesn't have capacity and is now in hospital, his wife and I had a difference of opinion recently and up until today I was able to access information regarding my Father as |I was on the 'list' which could be given information. The hospital have now moved him on to another ward who now won't tell me anything in particular why the rule changed from one ward to another.
My daughter telephoned his wife who as soon as she knew who she was put the phone down on her.
I know legally she is his next of kin, but does she have the right to make this final cut between me and my Dad because if he did have capacity he would not leave me uninformed!!

I suspect she probably does. I suggest pursuing this with hospital management, with everything in writing, asking them for the legal basis of their decisions.
Personally find his wife's decision callous. I assume by your terminology she is not your mother.
