Selling Mums Home

Can anybody offer advice please? I'll try & keep it simple as possible. My Mum has been living alone for 8 yrs since my dad passed away. She has become increasingly lonely & her mental state deteriorating & she needs more care than I can give living separately. We (my Husband & I) would like to sell her home & buy somewhere to accommodate us all move in etc., then in a few months time sell ours (so initially won't use that money to buy new home). Not sure where to start with questions like Joint Tenancy, whose names to put it in & how to sort finances out long term with inheritance etc. I have one sibling to divide estate with etc. Thanks in advance

I think you need to do two things. First, you will need to speak to your sibling about how the money from the sale is going to be used and how their inheritance will be affected get an agreement drawn up by a solicitor. Then you need to speak to a property specialist solicitor. I sure you will get good advice here but use a solicitor to draw up documents.

Thanks for your reply. I have already spoken to Brother, we are close family & no issues there. Do intend to visit a solicitor but would like to have an idea of options beforehand. Thanks again
