  • ex partner making my life hell

My ex partner is making my life a misery. He has never accepted the fact I left him and have found someone else 7 years ago. He has persistently called social services on my partner, 7 times now. He brain washes the kids and makes them say things that are not true, the kids say it because they are scared of him. I had many years of mental abuse from him. He has been sectioned in the past and has ongoing bipolar. He is a mental health nurse(bizarre i know) and has gone out his way to try and alienate me from my friends and family. Social services send out something called a CIN plan. Which is a confidential document which details myself, children and ex partner and new partner etc. He has been emailing this out to my family and friends - but only the accusations he has put against my new partner and nothing about himself as that wouldn't look good would it! Is this breaking General medical council guidelines? Im planning on seeing a solicitor as I dont want the children to see him and also a non molestation order.

    Hi Sharp81,
You need to report this to Social Services as well as getting some legal advice. I doubt GMC guidelines have anything to do with this but data protection is an issue.
In addition, I feel this could be construed as harassment and obtaining a non-molestation order may be the most sensible way to deal with it, but do get some face to face advice so that you can explain the situation more fully and discuss any allegations made by your ex. Going into detail here on matters that are probably very private regarding the children may not be appropriate, but sure you can judge what info you can provide and we'll try and offer support and guidance if we can.
I am a qualified solicitor and am happy to try and assist informally, where needed.

Any posts I make on LegalBeagles are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as legal advice. Any practical advice I give is without liability. I do not represent people on the forum.

If in doubt you should always seek professional face to face legal advice.
