Hi all,
ive been looking through this forum and seen it’s very helpful. So hopefully somebody can help me.
The situation is, my partner was in a relationship with his child’s mother, but the relationship wasn’t working out and they broke up when she was 3 months pregnant. She promised she would let him be apart of his child’s life but soon after stopped contact and blocked his number. He isn’t on the birth certificate and has never seen the child.
He seeked legal advice and letters were sent from the solicitors to the mothers address to which she failed to respond. The baby was born and he only found out through family seeing her out with the child, he then again had another sent to the mother but still no response. He has filed a c100 after going to a miai medication meeting, and is currently awaiting a court date.
We both feel she will ignore the court date, not turn up and make this harder. Has anybody been in a similar situation and had a good outcome where the father has been able to have contact with his child?
