I have a job interview in a few weeks with a new employer.
In my current job I am able to arrange shift cover so long as skills match.
My employer has refused to authorise this shift swop as I am meant to be on a course that day.
I need this day off for my new job interview
The course is voluntary and does not form part of my of my contractual obligations or role map.
Where do I stand. Can someone point me in the direction of the appropriate legislation / law pertinent to this issue.
