• Holiday and resignation

Hi all. I've handed my notice of resignation in to my employer. I've done so a couple of months in advance, to give them plenty notice (even though company policy is only a week's notice required). They've acknowledged it and confirmed that I will be leaving on a certain date (June 30 being my last day).
I was wondering if I can book a holiday (as I still have holidays left to use from my holiday entitlement) for the week 26 June to 30 June (so I'll be away on holiday for my last week and day of being employed by the company). This would make my last actual working day the 23rd. Is it okay to do this, or can I not use holidays for my final week/day?

Many thanks in advance.

Re: Holiday and resignation

It will depend on whether your company has a policy about not taking holiday if you have given them notice even if it more than required. As paulajayne says it would be best to speak to the HR department and ask them the question.
