    Can employer withold wages if I left without notice?

    Hi
    I got depressed and left my job without notice 2 months ago. I worked 2 years without contract.

    Can my employer withhold wages for the last week I worked if I left without notice?

    Please note I didn't have a contract.

    Other than the fact you should have been given a contract detailing notice periods you are required to give your employer one weeks notice to leave your job.

    Therefore if you left without notice they do not need to pay you this week. However you should ensure you have been paid up to your last working day plus any statutory holiday due but not taken.
