Do I have to declare sickness record?

After accepting a settlement from my current employer, I'm now looking for a new job. In 2015 I was diagnosed with cancer, and had around 6 weeks off then - I was pretty ill, losing about half my bodyweight in that period - but then with the blessing of my manager worked pretty much fulltime from home after than, including working when I was having chemo.

My last scan in November showed that all was clear and I've been working as normal out of the office fulltime from last August.

My question is, do I need to declare my sickness record over the past 2 years when going for a new job? I feel very well now, and am only seeing consultant every 5 months, with a ,maintenance injection every 2 months. Apart from that I am on no medication or treatment.

Not when going for one, no. But if offered one they are then allowed to ask for disclosure. It is unlawful for employers to ask this question before an offer is made. But many still do I'm afraid. If a firm asks for it before an offer, simply leave it blank. Don't answer and don't lie about it. If an offer is then rescinded they would need to be very careful as cancer is one of the conditions permanently covered under the law, and they could gave a discrimination claim.
