My Daughter who is 19 started an apprenticeship at a local pre-school nursery on the 8th of August, two weeks after starting her maths & english results came through from her college showing that she had passed her level 3 deplomer in Health and Social care but got an E for maths and a D for English.
She informed her employer who said that she would have to start from scratch at another college, she told them that she only needs to resit her maths & english but the employer insisted that she started at the other college.
The following week she handed in her notice as she didn't want to redo her level 3 in Health & Social care again and the college the employer wanted her to go to was further away, the employer told her that she had to work her months notice and she wasn't allowed any time off to attend her first 3 weeks of college.
She worked the following week and left on the 9th of September because she started back at college on the 12th of September.
Because she worked part way through a working month she was paid £107.25 for 32.5 hours processed on the 26/8/16, she was contracted to work 30 hours per week which equated to 130 hours per month.
She received her final payment last week of just £63.77 which is way short of what she should have picked up, I worked out she'd worked 5 weeks at 30 hours per week which is 150 hours.
We phoned her employer up and they said they will look into it, so far we haven't heard a thing.
Her first and only wage slip shows:
PAYMENT UNITS RATE AMOUNT
WAGES 130.00 3.3000 429.00
NOT WORKED -97.50 3.3000 -321.75
NET PAY 107.25
I have worked out that she is £323 98 short on her last wage payment going by actual hours worked and not the 130 hours contracted which is the average monthly hours over a year, am I right?
She hasn't been given her last wage slip or P45 so we can't check what the £63.77 was for
