Hi
The company I work for have started rolling out new contracts. The roll out is in the form of here sign this with no explanation or help given. So far it has only been rolled out to one set of staff and the gossip is that some are refusing to sign and some have been advised by lawyers not to sign.
I have not yet seen it but possibly the most controversial part is that should you use any of the knowledge gained while working for the organisation for another organisation you will be sued. This effectively would stop people from working in the industry as the skills and knowledge are transferable i.e if going to New York you might not want to stay near the projects
How does this stand , can they force the signing of a new contract and can they enforce clauses like that
