Good Morning, this is my first post!
When I joined my employer I signed the working time directive waiver as I work more than 48 hours a week (I work 10 hour days Monday to Friday, and an 8 hour Saturday every other week)
I am a salary paid employee, and our employee handbook says "you may need to attend out of hours meetings/briefings or stock checks as and when required"
We have a stock take tomorrow evening, I will finish my regular hours at 18:00, and I am back in Saturday morning at 08:00
I have two queries, I guess the first is, should I consider the stock take as part of my employment obligations, seeing as I am paid salary and not per hour?
And secondly, if I am to stay to do the stock take, having signed the waiver, am I still entitled to the 11 hour required break between shifts? If so, is there a maximum shift length period in one day?
Thanks in advance
Wayne
