  • Return to work afte a month off with stress

I've been off work for a month with work related stress. I have a grievance for no training, no support and no health and safety training whatsoever, bullying etc. Appeal will be heard this week. I've not had even one day off sick prior to this in 10 years.
it was my first day back today and I was met by my manager who gave me a letter which asks for my consent to them asking my GP for a medical report. My back to work interview consisted of 3 questions that related to my grievance and then I was asked to keep a log of everything I at work daily. Is this normal?

    Good morning, welcome to LB,

Do you have handbook or similar document?

The matters you mention above may be part of your employers internal processes, personally I see no harm in complying.

      Hi, thanks for the welcome
No there's no hand book or anything. Manager said it was because their solicitor had told them to request this.
I've phoned ACAS and they said I can refuse to agree to the medical report but to say I will agree to an occupational therapy assessment at their expense. Part of my grievance is that I won't agree to changes in my contract and I think that the logging of my daily tasks may be linked to this.
