An employer offers a job to a potential candidate. The offer is made via email, and only shows salary and sales commission structure. The offer doesn't mentioned any conditions.
The candidate resigns from his current job. (The candidate can prove that it can take up to 6 months to get a job)
The candidate then has a chat with the employer to discuss a starting date. The potential employer makes the candidate aware that the company might be acquired and that the job might be at risk. At this point the candidate ask the employer if there is any point in discussing a starting date and to move forward with the offer. The employer agrees with a starting date but stills mentioned of the possible acquisition.
The candidate the sends an email accepting the offer and confirming the starting date.
The candidate then receives an email notifying that the job offer has been withdraw and that the job is no longer available do to the acquisition

What are the candidate options?
Can the candidate pursue notice period compensation?
Can the candidate pursue for lost of revenues?
