  • Reasonable adjustments

Morning all. First post. Sorry I'm being needy rather than contributing.

I work for a large UK company who have been aware of my disability from the start. It took over 8 months for equipment to be put in place following an ATW assessment. In December I had my end of year review and was rated as good. Rating affects both bonus and secondment opportunities. I'm now disputing this on the grounds that:
    a) Their delay in providing the equipment had an affect on both my development and performance.
    b) Adjustments to my 'productivity' measurement do not cover the entire year. I believe it should be backdated since they were aware of this from the start.

Now that all my adjustments are in place my 2015 rating to date is very good and close to exceptional. I'd like to know thoughts, opinions and what my legal standing is on this.

    Many thanks.

    Re: Reasonable adjustments

Sorry Spelbound, but with out knowing what they use in their calculations to give you a rating its hard to advise on this.

Yes they should have only accounted for the period you were at work, and whilst the time it took for the reasonable adjustments to be put in place likely effected your work performance, i don't see how you would have any claim.

Your best bet is to chat about this informally with your manager rather than go in guns blazing, as they may well still take in to account the time it took for the reasonable adjustments to be put in place when considering you for bonus payments and secondment opportunities.
