matt3942 ... I believe RJH can get the names and addresses of current directors by searching for the company name here http://companycheck.co.uk/director/index

If they search for the company, click on the 'directors' tab and then on the name of a director it gives the current registered addresses of them in the free info

Thanks for the info. I've checked the above link and it only gives me a registered office and trading address in a different area and postcode, and for contacts it says no contact person available.

my OH has spoken to the lady that is being asked to do extra hours and she advises that she was working at the nursery on Friday, and didn't see the owner in there once - contradictory to the owner saying she completed the investigation that day?

Also they state 2 people are being made redundant - I know of one member of staff who is leaving, and there have been roles made redundant, but the people who these roles belong to have been placed in other positions (e.g. either promoted, or have diminished responsibilities).

Just looked into it further and it is for what I presume is the company accountants.

https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk

Type in the company name, click the link and then select officers and it brings up their name and address, and Date of birth. If you need more you can click on Filing history and scroll down to Annual return made up to xxxxxxx with full list of shareholders or maybe Change of Director details .... then click View PDF on the right. That gives you everything you need.

Amethyst Thank you so much, got it! Do I send it to both of them? One is a director, the other a secretary.
matt3942 - I'll wait for your letter - thank you for your help.

RJH - the investigation report says your OH was paid one-and-a-half hours' pay per appointment - is this more or less what your OH would have been paid had she been in work?

@matt3942 Well the initial midwife appointment was on her morning off (Friday morning) initially, but then work changed her hours to have her in all day that particular day (which is when she told them she was pregnant so she could then attend), and the scan we attended just the other week on the Friday, she was on a 1-6 shift, she left at around 2pm, and didn't return that evening, we didn't even leave the hospital until about 5pm, and then travelling back it was near enough 6pm anyway.

I have my OH's sick note with me and I have made a copy of it ready to send in.
Is there anything that I need to put in a letter to accompany this?

No, you can just send the sick note.

OK, what I'm trying to establish is whether your OH was paid less than she would have been paid had she been in work, e.g. if your OH left a 1PM-6PM shift at 2PM she should have been paid the 4 hours up to 6PM. If she was only paid for 1-and-a-half hours that contravenes the Employment Rights Act and you may have an additional claim for unlawful deductions.

How much time did your OH have off for the initial midwife appointment and how many hours was she paid for?

She won't find that out until her next and final payslip I think, however, the grievance response states that they have paid her 1.5 hours. The midwife appointment I would suggest was about right, however the scan one won't be based on the time she was out of the office vs. the info on the response.

RJH - Okay we'll have to drop that one for the time being. The way the response is worded seems to imply they have only ever paid up to one-and-a-half hours' pay so ask your OH to check her payslip to make sure she was paid for those four hours.

matt3942 - that's fine. I've text her just to confirm back with when she might be able to check.

With regards to the sending of a letter to the other owner, am I sending the original letter or is that one that you are constructing?
