Self Employed Driver Promised £500 Paid £250

Hi All

Was a self employed driver with a company that advertised on Gumtree £700 for 6 day week. Went to induction day, at end of day an attempt to present the contract was made "their printer problems, meant i had blank sheets, copies of someone elses contract etc, so we were rushed out to collect cars as getting dark after hurriedly signing the contract page 4 i think without viewing it" ).

On phone and at induction day promised £500 if worked 60 hours, i did work 60+ hours , to my horror first weeks pay arrives and was £250 for over 60 hours work, they had deducted money for car hire, car wash, insurance , admin etc etc.

I left the company in disgust and know want to claim for the shortfall, any help on wording on claim form i can use for the small claims court please.

Can post copy of the contract minus yours and the companies details along with a copy of the advert please.

We won't be able to advise on wording for claim form without seeing them am afraid.

If you dont have a copy of the contract then you can request it from the company, either informally, or by a subject Access Request under the data protection act, which they are legally required to comply with!
