  • Disciplinary Investigation and minutes

    Hello me again

Couple of things when I was suspended I had a disciplinary investigation meeting. Should this just have been an investigation meeting as the word disciplinary implies something is wrong?

Secondly I made a lot of points in the investigation meeting that when i read the minutes were not included in the minutes. I complained about it and made a list of the points that were not in there and they have refused to add them in.

Is there anything I can do?

    Thanks

    Re: Disciplinary Investigation and minutes

    Hi and welcome

First, no, no at an investigation meeting.

Second, yes, if they are not accurate you are free to draw attention to the inaccuracies, where are you in the process?

Sounds like it was just an investigatory meeting. They are free to call it a disciplinary Investigation Meeting as it is part of the disciplinary process to hold an investigatory meeting to establish facts, they then go off and investigate further before deciding on weather to go ahead with a full disciplinary procedure. They can not however hold the disciplinary meeting at the same time as the investigatory meeting as they are two separate steps in the whole process and it would be unfair process for them to do both together as it would not allow you time to request and review all evidence they intend to present to you at disciplinary meeting. Unfair process amounts to unfair dismissal if dismissed!

As for minutes - Totally agree with what StevemLS put above. "Unfair" for them to not include all points raised by you!

      As for the minutes.
