I currently work in a company that has 3 departments , I am the supervisor for my department and I have found out today that I am being payed less than the other supervisors ( was told by another supervisor)
I asked for a rise last year and got told I was "playing a dangerous game "and basically got told to sod off but apparently a fellow supervisor asked for a rise last year and got one .
i have found out today that I am on at least £1 a hour less than the other supervisors and have been for a while , is this fair ? I work hard like everyone else but feel I've been held back and don't get it .
The other day I asked (Before I knew about the pay difference ) For a rise as I havnt had one for 5 years and have been told by my director that I may get a rise , but it depends on if a staff member in my department agrees to drop his hours or not in order to "fund" the rise ( the staff member has been considering this of his own accord for a while)
It's a bit complicated but where do I stand on this ?
