Hi,
I recently resigned from a role after a brief period with the company This time covered two pay periods, October and November of this year. On the first pay date at the end of October I didn't receive a payslip, just money transferred by BACS, and it wasn't until the end of November, on the second pay date, when I received payslips for both months. By this point I had already left the company. Upon working the maths, it's become apparent that I wasn't even paid minimum wage for any of the work done. Both ACAS, and the Pay and Work Rights Helpline have assessed and agreed that this is the case.
My question therefore is, should I obtain advice from a Solicitor on this matter? Can I claim additional damages for distress and losses? My rent alone was late 3 months in a row as a result of this, not to mention other payments and bank charges incurred, as well as additional stress caused now as a result of being nearly £500 out of pocket.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
