My brother was sacked for being either the victim / perpetrator of a domestic assault. This was the wording in his dismissal letter. They said he had failed to report the incident to his employer so they sacked him. Surely that cant be right everyone who knows him knew his new partner was a drinker and was assaulting him but he was just trying to make it work. This woman also stole thousands of pounds off him. He only lived with her for approx 2 months.
He is now going to a employment tribunal and is hopeful that he will get his job back as it has been established that he was not the perpetrator of these incidents but rather the victim. The whole issue has cost him over £120, 000 in lost wages and legal fees.
He really needs some independent advice on what to expect as if he doesnt get his job back his life will be totally ruined.
