    Salary deductions on half pay

    Hi
    can someone please explain to me how salary deductions work when an employee goes from full to half pay? I have been off sick for several months. Many thanks for your help.

      Ah sorry, for taxes (NI & PAYE).

        They will be calculated as normal , taking into account the reduced payment. The calculations for tax use the total to date and your tax allowance. NI is on a per week/month basis and is a percentage of pay above a limit.

        I haven't got up to date tables so can't give better details.
