  • Company I work for being sold

I have just been told the company I work for is/has been sold and we are being transferred to the new company
i have never signed a contract and have been there over 10 years
Can anyone tell me what rights I have regarding pay as when we get paid for bank holidays it works out we actually get tripe pay even if it is our day off
can the new employer remove that pay ?
Do I have to sign a contract as I have never signed one

    thanks

Your contract and rights under them should be transferred over under TUPE

Read more about it here http://www.acas.org.uk/TUPE

How have you been working there all these years? Have you been invoicing them as a self-employed freelancer or as a company director? Or are you working through an agency as a 'temp'?

Are your employers deducting tax and NI contributions and giving you payslips?

He holds a contract, although not written, the terms of it are as implied by working practices and customs applied throughout his employment.

Basically if he has worked 9-5, Monday-Friday for £x / hour , over time paid at £x, with x days holiday etc etc, this is the implied terms of the contract.
