My husband and I have been working on a private estate for three months now. We have a most unreasonable and difficult boss who is extremely hard to please, nevertheless we have managed to keep up with the work load.
Today after our weekly meeting he announced that we were to leave at the end of December. Reasons being this: he had been told by no less than three of his long standing and loyal staff that we had said we were not happy here and intending to leave within six months.
We have never said this to any staff member.
He refused to tell us who said it.
Either they were lying or he is.
i don't feel he has a good enough reason to dismiss us as all of our work is satisfactory and we have made every effort to please him.
we signed a contract which states that he should give us six weeks notice.
does this mean he doesn't need a reason to dismiss us?
