  • blacklisting

does anyone have any knowledge or experience with incidents of blacklisting and mobbing?
Have someone in UK at the receiving end of being blacklisted and thought it was only an American problem. (now unable to get a job, followed, reputation smeared etc). Difficult to get proof as the smear campaign seems to be sophisticated, the mobbing is done by various different individuals.

    Re: blacklisting

I recall that there was some systematic illegal blacklisting in the construction industry that the Information Commissioner had a hand in investigating a couple of years ago, and that resulted in compensation being paid to those who ended up on the list.

I think people may need a little bit more context on what you are asking.

EDIT: OK this is what I meant: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-22817084

      Re: blacklisting

Notably the person in question has possibly (no proof) been blacklisted as he is unable to get work.
It seems that it may be a personal rather than an industry blacklisting as he is not involved in construction, is not a high flyer nor highly educated. Simply he has been rendered 'unemployable' having been subject to wide scale harassment.
This started with telephone tapping (device discovered), then stalking, smear campaign and subsequent unable to secure a job. When he has secured a job, he has either been asked to leave immediately or subjected to mobbing and harassment within the company.
Are there organisations which offer advice/support for this?
