  • Wife not getting paid

    Hi all,

Quick question. Hoping to get some help. My wife is a registered dietician in Milwaukee, WI. She has taken a part time job for 5 months for the current RD at her place that is on maternity leave. She is not being charged taxes and being paid a full amount.... she knows that she will have to pay taxes at the end so we are setting 40% aside for that. With that being said, she has now been there for 6 weeks and has worked almost full time all 6 weeks. Her hourly is 48 an hour, so if you do the math it is quite a lot of money! She has not been paid since starting work and has confronted the payroll department numerous times. They keep telling her its coming, its coming. Supposedly they file it and send it to another location who processes it, but nothing has come.

My wife and I are financially fine, but had my wife been on her own, she would really be hurting for this money.

Is there anything we can do? Legally?

    Thanks

    Angry husband

As Dogtired has said as the forum is UK based and therefore we can only help on UK Law related issues, then I think you should speak to a local attorney to see what advice they can give you. Good luck.
