  • E Mail complaints

as an engineer for 30 years is it legal for a company to pass on complaints about my work to management.

i have no way of backing myself up as i dont see these emails.

i dont have much idea what they are complaining about and no backup from my management

    Re: E Mail complaints

I presume you mean email complaints from a company that is a client of your employer? btw, yes it is legal.

Has management approached you regarding these complaints? If so then you are entitled to see the complaints in order to respond to management about the allegations made.

i will try to clarify the situation

a company has complained about my work.

emails have been sent between my management and a lead service technician.

i have no access to these emails and they will not show them to me.

i have no way of backing my self up.

In order for you to accurately address and respond fully to the complaints made against you then you are entitled to know what complaints have been made against you, by whom and when etc

Yes you are entitled to know the details of the complaint, not necessarily physically view the email exchange. If a complaint has been made against you then you are entitled to know the particulars of those complaints, otherwise a cynic could say that it was just management fabricating something as an excuse to discipline you.
