  • holiday entitlement

Hi can someone please advise me what holidays I am due as I am arguing with an ex-employer,
I started on 6th jan 2014 and was made redundant on 7th may 2014. My contracted holidays were 20 days plus 8 days bank holiday. The government website states that the entitlement is 9.4 days and this figure can be rounded up but not down. It also states that the employer can include bank holidays within this figure if they wish. I only took 3 days holiday whilst employed there so I believe I am due 7 days holiday pay accrued. Is this the case? Thanks in advance for any help.

    Re: holiday entitlement

You are entitled to 28 days holiday per year but bank holidays can be included in that figure so what you say is correct. You are indeed due 6.4 days for untaken holiday. Is your ex employer refusing to pay?
