  • colleagues investigation/disciplinary should I go or not?

    Hi

a colleague has a investigation/ disciplinary coming up and they have asked me to go with them....

im little double minded if I should go or not as it do with theft, and I've already given a statement to my manager about the situation involving this colleague

    what should I do??

Could I get in trouble if I went? As I've already given a statement??

    thanks

You wouldn't get into trouble but your employer may feel that your presence is not appropriate given that you are already involved in the case.
Nothing I say should be taken as qualified expert advice. I am not an expert in anything.

If you decide to act on anything I have posted you agree not to hold me liable in any way.

If you are unsure then you need to take proper advice from someone who is an expert.

How can you be so sure? It may not be 'official' trouble, employers can find other ways of making trouble for people. Based on the scant information given above, I wouldn't think it's possible to say for sure.

Was you statement in support of your colleague or does it go against your colleague? Did you colleague actually steal anything?
