Hi due to a recent takeover new terms and conditions etc a matter has arisen.
Our work is paid on an allowed hours scheme. This means an outside firm comes in times all the things included in our role and puts forward payment scheme.
Example.
Standard hour £10. You drive 5 miles (0.1)deliver 4 packs(0.2 and return 2 packs (0.1). That should pay 0.4 of an hour so £4 etc
Now we deliver security items that need to be checked upon delivery and errors reported before leaving. If not carried out and errors found later disciplinary action will be taken and possible sacking.
When last timed the security items were omitted (for some reason) and a report stating this, submitted to management. No payment was put in place. This was clearly ignored by management and will cost the driver 250 hours (average) per year.
Is there a case to reclaim this or if disciplined or dismissed for this a case to be made.
any advice greatly appreciated.
