  • Partner Agreement

Not sure if I am in the correct Forum but never done this before!
My father died just over 7 years ago.
He had a business agreement with his two partners that should any partner die the widow would be looked after financially.
This agreement was a typed document signed by all three partners but not signed by a solicitors.
We have only just come across this document and as you can imagine my Mum has not seen a penny.
Can I still fight for this for her or am I too late.
I do know that the other partners are still working within the same company that they were when my father had to leave due to ill health.
Can anyone please advise. Sorry if I am in the wrong forum !!
    Jo

    Re: Partner Agreement

The chances of realising on this are not good. The best thing to do would be to arrange to see a solicitor for a free initial consultation and see what they have to say.

Many thanks for taking the time to reply

Could you please elaborate as to why you would not expect this written agreement to have any legal binding...

      Thanks

I think you would struggle with this also...seek legal advice (but don't rack up a huge bill)

if you can...could you post the letter up on here,REMOVING ALL PERSONAL DETAILS SUCH AS NAMES/COMPANY NAMES.
Someone may have an idea as to it's legality.
