The HR department at my work is refusing to give me the bank holidays that I have incurred whilst on maternity leave on the basis that the maternity policy (pursuant to which I relieved enhanced maternity pay) prevents the accrual of bank holidays during maternity leave. My contract of employment states that I receive 25 days holiday and 9 days bank holiday.
