  • made redundant, employer advertising my job 17days later!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant, I was made redundant out of the blue on 22 Feb 2013 as they said the telesales department in Heywood was ment to be closing and all telesales being run from the other office in Cheltenham.

My job is being advertised online, posted yesterday 11th March 2013 based at the same place I was working in Heywood.

There was a lot off issues prior to me being notified of redundancy which I have documentation of as I felt as though I was being forced out.

The advertising of my exact job 17 days after my employment with the company ceased has now made me believe my initial feeling was correct and the redundancy was just a cover to get rid of me from the company.

What are my rights as I have been through hell and back over the past couple of months, been left out of pocket and out of work

I'm really sorry to hear how difficult a time you are having, especially when you are going through one of the biggest adventures life offers (I mean parenthood, not redundancy!)

Eloise is the one of the leading employment expert on the forums (and she is bloody good at giving very clear and excellent advice), perhaps you can send her a message and ask her to look at this thread

You could also give ACAS a call - it's a free employment advice service and they maybe able to help.

How long were you employed for?
Have you any evidence that shows you were being mistreated and pushed out?
do you believe you being pregnant and being made redundant are linked?

I need a lot more detail about exactly what has happened, how long you have worked there, why you think you were made redundant (exactly what was said and done) and can you prove that this is the same job and/or that this is not an error?
