    I can see little other reason than line manager incompetence, and that, imho, would be backed up by their initial brush off of the sick note being lost, normally when at work OH would receive wage slips a week in advance of payday, which apparently is designed to allow for checking of wages and errors to be raised. However, until two days ago, since being off sick no wage slips had been received by OH, despite OH requesting they be sent to home address on a regular basis, along with requesting them when visits have been made to workplace to deliver sick certificates.

    Pay is done on a 4 weekly cycle and payday fell today, obviously the date changes, but the cycle of 4 weeks doesn't.

      Simple answer is to get hr to give you an advance and claim it back on the next pay date as its your employer who is to blame
