Will a system comparable to EX160 apply ? Otherwise it will be in breach of Article 6 of the Human Rights Act, contrary to natural justice, and judicialy reviewable.

The rumours are -

Workers with grievances will face a fee of between £150 and £250 for lodging any claim against their employer, and a further £1,000 for proceeding to a hearing.

The exact amounts of the up-front fees and the arrangements for their payment are the subject of a consultation which will start at the end of November; fees will then start to be charged from April 2013. There may be higher fees for cases where the compensation claimed tops £30,000. Any individual who wins their case will see the fees refunded.

Thats Really bad news then for low income earners that have been unfairly dismissed and simply can not afford such fees. Looks like the Tories want to price people out of justice in my view, and whos effected the most by it? Yep the most vulnerable are.

I think it'll see a bunch of breach of contract claims and harrasment claims in the Countyy Courts, where fee exemption is available.

And JR of lack of access to justice in discrimination claims.

As I understand it, fees will be charged from April 2013, but the new 2 year qualifying period will change in April 2012.

Can anyone confirm this?
