  • Being forced out of job

I need some advice about a work situation. I have worked for my current company for 2.5 years. I recently get the feeling that I am going to be forced out of my job by my manager.

Why do I feel if my boss is forcing me out? He has done it before as demonstrated by the redundancy of the Sales and Marketing manager. My manager is doing the same, constructing a case by taking roles away which should be under my job description (although I have never received a job description). I have tried to resolve this by speaking to the manager last year (in an informal meeting) explaining how his actions are leaving me out of the loop meaning it is difficult to fulfil my role, but this led to introduction of new person taking over an aspect of my role. Now I have heard that a Marketing Manager is to be employed. In a small environment I fail to see what job the person would have.

I know one of my options is to file a formal grievance, but am worried about the repercussions of taking such action. Can anyone advice me of what to do please?

Also get proof of responsibilities which you once had, but have now been taken away.
