I have worked for the same company for nearly 20 years. I changed job role in August of 2023 increasing my hours from 20 to 31 hours. I had a new contract explaining my hours and pay etc as the new position was a better job than I had previous.
Does my new position and increased hours mean a break in service? I have not changed employer just job role within the company.
The reason for my question is there are rumours of redundancy. I am worried my new job role of less than a year will leave me first out and no redundancy even though I have nearly 20 years service with the company.
