  • Employment Tribunal Claim

    Hello all,

I am new to this forum and I will be very grateful for some help and advice.

I have an Employment Tribunal Hearing in just over a month’s time for a hearing in person.

I am severely disabled and there is a very high chance that I will be unable to make the Hearing and I have provided medical evidence of my disabilities. The Respondents were aware of my disabilities prior to unfairly dismissing me without warning or any fair process being followed.

Would it be possible for the Tribunal to transfer my ET claim to a paper based hearing or a telephone hearing as I suffer from severe anxiety and arthritis where I am in severe constant pain most of the time?

I would also be very grateful if a forum member would consider taking on my ET Claim?

Is this a final hearing or preliminary hearing?

How long have you known of this hearing date?

How long has the hearing been listed for?

If you cannot attend an in person hearing then you would need to make an application to the Employment Tribunal (ET) for what is called a CVP hearing which is a video link hearing.

In making the application you would need to provide medical evidence to support this request as a reasonable adjustment. Any application would need to be copied to the respondent.
If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com

I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.

Hello, and thank you for your quick response.

The hearing is a preliminary hearing.

The arrangements for the preliminary hearing were made at the end of April 2024.

2.5 days, but could be shorter.

I will be very grateful for some expert legal advice and I have sent you an email.

      Thank you

If you have been aware of the date since the end of April and the hearing is sometime in August and your medical condition is such that you do not feel that you can attend in person, then I would advise that you make the application for a change to a CVP hearing as soon as possible.
