  • California Employment Law AB5 Question

    Hello guys,
I have been working full-time for the past 3 years for a startup as the co-founder & business partner, (for $2,400/month). However, the original founder is saying he changed his mind and I am a contractor. I spoke with a lawyer who said I should look into California AB5 Employment Law, because if I wasn't a founder, then I was an employee misclassified as a contractor. My question: How is the wage calculated in AB5 cases? I have been acting in a senior executive position, and have 20 years experience. Thank you for any info you can share on this! -B

Sorry, this a UK website dealing with UK law so I doubt anyone here has any knowledge of Californian employment law.
All opinions expressed are based on my personal experience. I am not a lawyer and do not hold any legal qualifications.
