  • Online training

I work primarily nightshift in the road traffic sector. The general manager of the company has sent a company-wide email regarding mandatory training. He is stating that it is our responsibility to organise training and if any is left outstanding by next week, then we will have ignored a reasonable request and will there for receive disciplinary action.

i have no issue doing the training, however the company portal needs to be accessed to do this, which only our line manager has access to. Due to working nights, the line manager is not in the office when I would finish work in the early hours of the morning and trying to organise coming in on my own time is proving difficult on their end.

can I receive any form of discipline when I have shown willing to do training, but no link has been sent, no portal has been accessed and no computer has been given to use?

Have you put the difficulty in accessing this portal in writing to this manager and HR? If you can receive emails, surely you can send them.
