Hello
I am currently on long term sick leave from work with chronic depression and anxiety. I have been off now for the best part of a year. Back in October, work offered me the chance to enter into an income protection scheme, which I accepted an application for. At the time, work said that due to my situation, they would continue to pay me full pay until a decision was made on whether the scheme would accept my application. However, we are now into February, and still no decision has been made on this, and my employers have reneged on their initial promise, as they have now stopped paying me. I cannot return to work until this decision is made (and I'm not fit enough anyway) - Am I in any position to seek any level of compensation either from the employers or the third party administering the income protection scheme, as none of these delays have been my fault. The situation is getting desperate financially, and I don't know where to turn to, which is causing my mental health to deteriorate further. (I have already applied for Universal Credit)
