Hello,
Looking for some advice. A family member has recently been suspended pending an investigation of theft and fraud in their workplace. They have already had an investigation interview and they have admitted to the evidence placed against them.
The amount is over a period of about three years and in the region of £1500-£2000. They used a supplier to purchase personal items.
They contacted their GP, amongst other wellness organisations as they think they need help. They have been out on medication in the mean time but are not coping well.
They have apologised and insisted they make restitution, in full, immediately for anything the company and they agree is owed.
my question is, if they have sought help and are willing to pay it all back, how likely is it to be reported to the police and if it is, what can they expect? The company they work for know they have been struggling for a while as the partner is off long term sick.
Thank you for your time.
