    Staff member sickness

    I have a commercial cleaning company, I have an employee who has taken 3 months sick leave, she has taken company sick pay, and have since found out, with evidence, that she was doing private work daily in the same building she was supposed to be working for me, is this gross misconduct, can i dismiss?

    You should follow a fair process. See the ACAS guide on disciplinary and grievance procedures: https://www.acas.org.uk/disciplinary...nce-procedures.

    Simply firing on the spot will be automatically unfair.
