Can Former Employer Counter-claim

We had the final hearing today and we managed to get to a point where both parties agreed to a consent order. This means that I drop my claim and the employer drops his counter-claim. I am awaiting a final copy of the consent order from the Judge.

I hope I am just being overly anxious here but does a consent order stop the employer from pursuing their counter-claim in the civil court?

I do not want to add to your anxiety but need to be honest, in that I known a claimant making an ET claim also claimed in the civil court but this was when their ET claim was considered out of time but would have still be in time for a civil court claim.

In your case though it may be down to the way on which the Consent Order is drafted and whether any claims in other Courts are precluded.
