  • Quitting after Short Term DIsability

I've been at my job for almost 9 years. Have been on leave for 6 months due to mental health crisis partially caused by work. Have received STD entire time paid by employer thru 3rd party administrator. During this time insurance premium for Optional Life has been withheld from payments. This is the only premium I ever pay.
I have secured a position with a new company and am set to start the same day I am due to return to current employer. My plan is to start new job then go directly to old one, submit resignation effective immediately and leave (new job 1st shift, old job 2nd shift). They do not need to train anyone because I've been covered the entire time I've been off. And I won't need them for a reference because I have a job already as well as a plan to start a business.
The question is should I be concerned about any repurcussions? Or should I just not return and let them terminate me for No Call No Show?

This UK forum often gets confused by search engines with a US forum with a very similar name. The two sites are unconnected, the similarity in names is just coincidence.

Is this US site the one you were searching for? https://legalbeagle.com/
All opinions expressed are based on my personal experience. I am not a lawyer and do not hold any legal qualifications.
